A DAY
AT THE BEACH

My photo essay depicts my daughter Freya as we head to the beach and enjoy a day at the beach. The beach is the one place she enjoys, out in public, without her glasses on.

We start by turning up to the beach, glasses on and exploring the sand dunes. She takes of her glasses off and ventures into the water, where she splashes and plays, before enjoying playing with sparklers when the sun sets, and we enjoy our picnic dinner.

My placeholder image is a shot of Freya, blurred in the distance, shot partially through the lens of her glasses to capture just how differently she see’s things.
